Custom Cotton Candy Jeep Parts

Updated: 4 days ago

At the Gannon University MakerSpace, our powder coating oven is a specialized piece of equipment used for curing powder-coated materials, providing a high-quality finish to metal components. This process enhances both the appearance and longevity of parts, making them more resistant to wear, corrosion, and the elements.

Our powder coating oven precisely heats parts to the required temperature, melting the powder coating and bonding it to the surface, resulting in a tough, protective layer. This advanced finishing technique was used to bring a nursing student's project to life with custom cotton candy pink and blue Jeep parts!

To achieve the perfect finish, the parts were first sandblasted to remove the original coating and ensure a clean surface for optimal adhesion. After a thorough cleaning, our powder coat guns blended the pink and blue powders together, creating a seamless fade effect.

The final step was baking the parts in our powder coating oven, where the heat melted the powder together and cured a glossy, professional-grade finish. The result? A stunning set of Jeep parts with a unique, eye-catching design that adds personality and flair to an already cool ride! This project showcases how engineering and creativity come together at the MakerSpace to turn ideas into reality.
