Five 3D Printers Overview: Which One Is The Best?

At the Gannon University MakerSpace, precision and flexibility in fabrication are key to producing high-quality parts and prototypes. Our 3D printing lab features a fleet of advanced machines that each bring something unique to the table. In the video below, we put five of the most popular 3D printers — the Prusa XL, Creality K1, Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, Prusa MK4, and Prusa MK3S — to the test. Each printer was evaluated using the same complex model designed to challenge their performance across overhangs, bridging, and text detail. The results reveal how different printers handle the same job and which one truly stands out when it comes to print quality, speed, and precision.
Having multiple 3D printers allows our MakerSpace to handle a wide range of tasks, from small prototypes to large, functional parts.
