The NWIRC Driving Impact for Manufacturers (DIFM26) conference, held at the Bayfront Convention Center on March 25th, brought together manufacturers, workforce leaders, and economic development partners from across northwestern Pennsylvania. The event focused on real industry challenges such as leadership, workforce retention, onboarding, operational excellence, and the growing role of AI in manufacturing. Through keynote sessions, interactive discussions, and small-group breakouts, attendees had the opportunity to share ideas, learn from experts, and explore practical solutions to strengthen their operations.

The Gannon MakerSpace participated in the conference and teamed up with the Gannon University Small Business Development Center (SBDC), creating a joint presence focused on supporting regional manufacturers. Together, we connected with business leaders, shared insights, and highlighted how collaboration and hands-on support can drive innovation and growth.
