Gannon MakerSpace Brings Custom Automotive Parts to Life for Project REBORN 001
Some automotive parts cannot simply be ordered. Sometimes, they have to be created from the ground up.
Gannon MakerSpace recently partnered with NFI Empire on Project REBORN 001, a custom restoration of a 1979 Chevrolet K30 crew cab. Using advanced design and 3D printing capabilities, the MakerSpace team created custom trim and badging for the one of a kind vehicle.
The project brought together classic automotive design, modern manufacturing technology, and a meaningful cause. The completed truck recently sold for 275,000 dollars, with all proceeds benefiting The Brett Boyer Foundation, a nonprofit supporting congenital heart disease awareness, research, and families affected by CHD.
For Gannon MakerSpace, the project was also an opportunity to demonstrate what is possible when an idea meets the right equipment, technology, and expertise. Parts that were no longer available, or had never existed before, could be designed and transformed into physical components specifically for the build.
This is exactly what we aim to do at Gannon MakerSpace. We work with businesses, nonprofits, organizations, and individuals to turn ideas into real products through 3D printing, prototyping, fabrication, woodworking, CNC machining, laser engraving, welding, and other manufacturing services.
Have an idea in mind. Let us see how we can bring it to life. Learn more about our capabilities and connect with the Gannon MakerSpace team.
