Updated: Feb 19

Austin Lippert is a senior at Gannon University, completing his degree in mechanical engineering. He has been working for Nick Devine since his freshman year, making him Nick Devine's longest-serving work-study student to date.

Austin played a key role in determining the floor layout for the MakerSpace, collaborating with both the architect and floor engineer. He is proficient in operating all of the manufacturing technology in the MakerSpace.

Austin also collaborated with EFI Connections to design and manufacture bespoke automotive components. His work included developing innovative replacements for throttle bodies, timing cover assemblies, and a dedicated fixture plate to streamline manufacturing processes.

These projects were completed using the HAAS UMC-750 and HAAS Mini Mill, with Fusion 360 employed for seamless integration of Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) processes.
