Home Essentials Workshop

The Home Essentials Workshop, which took place on Wednesday, April 9th, gave Gannon students the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience with everyday home and dorm repairs. The event welcomed students of all skill levels and offered a welcoming environment to learn, practice, and ask questions about basic maintenance tasks. From the beginning of the workshop, participants were eager to explore and dive into the activities MakerSpace team has prepared.

The workshop covered a range of essential topics, including drywall patching, painting techniques, and useful tips for maintaining a clean and damage-free living space. One of the key takeaways was a special segment focused on how to get your security deposit back, something especially helpful for students. With guidance from experienced staff, students practiced patching holes, applying clean paint finishes, and learned tips on preventing common damage.
